Dr. Levitt 1

Alexandra Levitt, MD, MPH

Dr. Alexandra Levitt is a board-certified, fellowship trained specialist who focuses on oculofacial plastic surgery and treatment of related diseases.

Dr. Levitt graduated from University of Miami Medical school in 2016 as both a Medical Doctor (MD degree) and a Master of Public Health (MPH degree). She was first in her class in Miami, which was not surprising since she had also graduated from Duke University in North Carolina summa cum laude in 2011.

After medical school, Dr. Levitt finished an internship in Indianapolis, and then returned to Miami to the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for ophthalmology residency. Bascom Palmer has perennially been the top eye surgery residency in the USA and she completed her training with distinction in 2020.

After residency, Dr. Levitt completed a fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery at the University of Colorado in 2022. Our fellowship in Colorado is among the best in the world and Dr. Levitt had multiple job offers when she finished. Fortunately, she chose to remain in Denver and joined our team in 2022, where she has been extraordinarily successful. She is a candidate for membership in the prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, which requires preparation of a thesis and successful completion of oral and written examinations.

Dr. Levitt is clearly a highly trained and dedicated physician. In addition to her stellar credentials, Dr. Levitt has proven to be a very talented surgeon and a caring, empathetic doctor, according to her patients and peers. She is particularly drawn to the artistry of facial reconstructive and cosmetic surgery and she enjoys spending time with each of her patients. She is a great teacher with a quick wit, and she is frequently invited to lecture at professional meetings.

In her spare time, Dr. Levitt enjoys exploring Colorado’s beautiful outdoors through hiking and photography, and has even completed a thru-hike of the Colorado Trail by herself. With her husband Blake, she also pursues cooking, reading, and the occasional board game.
