Something we should always do for our skin is protect it from sun damage. So often we forget to apply a sunscreen or sunblock. We go somewhere, have a good time, and at the end of the day discover that we’re red and burned.

So whether you’re preparing for any skin care surgery or not, do wear some form of sun protection.

For further skin care, when preparing for, or recovering from, surgical skin treatments:

  • Use a moisturizer as often as you feel any tightness or dryness, and at least once a day
  • Use a specially formulated skin cleanser rather than bath soap to clean your face, as it will be less drying to the skin
  • There are many over-the-counter products that promote healing, such as:
    • Vitamin A cream
    • Aloe Vera preparations
