What are Contour Threads™ made of?

They’re made of a clear polypropylene, which doesn’t show through even very fair skin.

How long does it take to insert the threads?

It depends on how many threads are used, but usually not more than an hour. Only one procedure is needed, although as years go by, you might want a few more threads inserted.

Are there any side effects or complications?

Usually no, and if there are any, they’ll be mild. There might be some swelling and bruising but they’ll fade within a few days or a week. There are no allergic reactions. Gradually your own tissue grows to encapsulate the threads.

How long is the recovery time?

Usually about a week, depending on how many threads were inserted. Some people can return to work sooner.

You can use ice compresses during the first couple of days to minimize swelling and bruising.

Can I have Contour Threads done along with other procedures?

Yes, absolutely. Some other companion procedures might be:

Botox™ injections

Chemical peels

Laser skin resurfacing

Neck liposuction

Could I later on have a browlift or facelift?

Yes, the threads would not interfere with those.
